SCAVA Annual Leadership Conference
January 30 - February 1, 2013
SCAVA's Annual Volunteer Leadership Conference will be held at the Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort. The conference fee will be $175.
Keynote speaker: Marilyn R. Beverley
Marilyn works as a keynote speaker, workshop presenter, board facilitator, training consultant and author. Her work has taken her across the United States and Internationally. She has been a presenter with the American Hospital Association, National Council on Aging, the SDVSHO, and the Sr. Corp of Directors of PA, the University of Kentucky and many more. Marilyn has served with many organizations in leadership positions including President of the Michigan Association of Healthcare Advocates and organization with approximately 30,000 in membership. Marilyn has a passion for leadership and volunteerism. Her mission in life is to encourage others to follow the passion within their hearts to make a difference in the world in which they live, realizing what a difference one person can make!
Participate in the SCAVA Community Service Project – Socks for Soldiers
SCAVA has partnered with Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina, Inc.
Wednesday afternoon- Thursday at noon:
Bring to the 2013 SCAVA conference NEW Plain White or Black crew or tube socks for – Men or Women. Your donation will earn you a ticket in return for each pair of socks donated. There will be GREAT DOOR PRIZES for those who participate in the Community Service Project.
SCAVA will deliver all the socks collected for our Soldier’s to the Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina, Inc. who send HERO boxes to US Military who are deployed. The Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina Inc. collect names of service members quarterly so a HERO box can be shipped to provide a touch of home as they serve for the FREEDOM our great nation.
Having a clean pair of socks for some is a luxury….
