Robin Burns Education Scholarship

Robin Amanda Burns served two terms as SCAVA President and was respected nationally, regionally and in South Carolina as a leader in the field of volunteerism.  After her untimely death in 1983, the Robin Burns Memorial Scholarship Fund was established.  With the scholarship, we hope that you will benefit from sharing and exchanging knowledge and experience with other volunteer administrators across the state.

The scholarship assists SCAVA members to attend the annual meeting and conference.  Scholarships cover conference fees only.  Recipients will be responsible for travel, hotel, meals and other expenses.  Scholarship recipients or their employers are responsible for paying the SCAVA membership dues.  Partial and full scholarships will be awarded depending on fund availability and the applicant’s ability to supplement costs.
