Mission:  The mission of the South Carolina Association is to inspire, educate and

support the leaders in the profession of Volunteer Administration.

Purpose:  SCAVA is a non-profit organization that provides opportunities and

professional development to individuals with an interest in the field of volunteerism. 

Membership is extended to individuals in the public and private sectors that wish to

learn more about volunteerism, develop new skills, or shape the future of

volunteerism in South Carolina.  SCAVA offers conferences and workshops

focusing on information and issues pertinent to volunteers and volunteer

administration. 

Structure:  SCAVA provides new leadership opportunities for its members

through participation on the Board of Directors and various committees.  The

Board, elected by the membership, governs the affairs of the organization.  Affiliate

membership is available through community and regional groups.
