SCAVA Awards

SCAVA presents two annual awards. The Volunteer Administrator of the Year 

Award is presented to a professional who has demonstrated exceptional leadership

qualities in the field of Volunteer Administration and has upheld the standards of the

profession. 

 

The Building for the Future Award is presented to a SCAVA Member who has

provided exemplary service to their community in a volunteer capacity.

 

The awards were presented at the 2010 SCAVA Winter Conference.

Robin Burns Scholarship

SCAVA offers financial assistance to attend SCAVA-sponsored training through our

Robin Burns Memorial Training Scholarship Fund.  SCAVA members with

demonstrated financial need are invited to submit an application. 

 

Scholarship applications will be availaible in the fall for the 2011 Winter Conference.

Governor’s Awards for Volunteerism

SCAVA and the Office of the Governor together present the Annual Governor’s

Volunteer Awards each year.  Volunteers are honored in eight categories. 

Nominations are submitted from professionals and volunteers throughout the state.  

 

The 2010 Awards Ceremony is currently being scheduled for this spring in Columbia.
