PAVA

PAVA

Serving Greenville County

PAVA, the oldest SCAVA affiliate, was organized in 1976 as a professional

organization for volunteer administrators in Greenville County.  PAVA offers a

resource network and skill development opportunities for both new and

experienced administrators.  Members also benefit from the informal exchange of

ideas and the supportive atmosphere of PAVA.  Round table discussions cover

such areas as legislative issues, teen volunteer programs, and the profession and

future of Volunteer Administration.

In addition to regular meetings, PAVA sponsors professional workshops on

issues regarding volunteer administration. Volunteer recruiting and motivation, time

and stress management, media relations, and conflict resolution are just a few

examples of programs that have been offered in recent years.

Community service agencies, hospitals, and educational facilities are just a few of

the organizations represented in PAVA.
