TRIAVA

Serving Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties

TRIAVA began in August of 1991 when 27 persons from agencies utilizing volunteers in

Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties gathered for the first time.  The affiliate received its

charter in January 1992.

TRIAVA provides opportunities that maximize the volunteer contribution of individuals and

agencies to the community.  Goals include increasing awareness of the organization, and

therefore, increased membership.  TRIAVA sponsors workshops and speakers of interest to

volunteer administrators.Topics include volunteer liability, parliamentary procedures, volunteer

recognition and training.  Both professional volunteer administrators and volunteers are

invited to join the diverse membership of TRIAVA.
